What Do Clouds Tell of What Lies Beneath?

What do clouds tell of what lies beneath?
What of clouds above clouds?

Mist rivers writhe between smoke reefs;
Reveal nothing.
Rainbows are of this, yet no rainbows form.
All is shades; hues of white;
Smoothed and roughed - the touch of wind.

They play at the elements:
    Blazing Fire;
    Dancing Air;
    Placid Water;
    Tired Earth;
All are there, 'til, dreamlike,
True River glints through,
Banks - solid, as only dreamt above.
But in dreaming, no less real.

What do clouds tell of what lies beneath?
What of clouds above clouds?

    The real;
    The true;
    The yearning;
    The Spirit.
